Slow piece of crap
I rarely leave Amazon reviews but wanted to save others the hassle – don’t buy this.The chrome / Google system is familiar and organized, but it is incredibly slow, even if you uninstall unwanted apps and only have one browser tab open.This is not some kind of bargain or deal. You get what you pay for. It would be too good to be true for this to be some fast ultrabook alternative. It is genuinely closer to a windows 98 computer than some zippy i5 laptop. Don’t buy. Pay the extra money to get a good processor

Not Acer’s best.
After using this laptop for 3 months, I have replaced it with a Lenovo Chromebook 3 11.6 Celeron N4020. So much more for less than half the price. The Acer does have good battery life, but the screen can only be viewed properly at a specific angle. Venture beyond that and you see a negative image. The speakers are poor with very little volume. My two previous Acer Chromebooks were great, and only replaced when the AUE ran out. Sorry Acer, you goofed with this one as far as I am concerned.

Battery is not charging. CORRECTION……It’s the Chromebook that’s not working. It’s defective. I will rate this a 5 star only if customer service in prompt in replying and replacing this brand new broken Chromebook.

Might be the slowest device I’ve ever owned post 2000
With nothing else running… freshly booted… hulu takes 120 seconds to load.Waking from sleep? Go take a long shower. Might be operational by then. Might not, too!I have a 2012 (2012!) e3200 Latitude that runs a bunch of circles around this Chromebook (hulu loads in four seconds).I’ve run updates and started factory fresh (because I have nothing better to do 🙄) and it’s still cold molasses.I wanted a convertible laptop with touch screen so I bought this. I regret it. I’m told it takes us back to the days of 28800 baud.

Wanted to love but was disappointed.
When my son broke my laptop, I needed an inexpensive solution and thought this device would have been great for me. However, the WIFI signal keeps dropping ..not from the source but from the device itself. Makes using Google docs, Teams and any virtual meeting impossible because it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Sigh. I wanted to love this but I am disappointed.

Not all parts delivered. Wireless mouse was missing.
Missing parts and the cursor was not working correctly. Tried different sensitivity settings and it could not be corrected . My wife has disabilities with her hands and cannot use the keyboard or surface control pad.

Great little netbook, but . . .
Great little netbook, but beware that even though it comes with an HDMI cable, there is no HDMI port built into the laptop itself, just one USB. I suppose this is the push in designing all future laptops to be pretty much 100% WiFi reliant which will eventually make all cable ports go the way of the CD . . . basically a dinosaur.Still, well-built laptop.

Runs too hot
My last Chrome pad had literally no heat coming from the bottom at any time, charging it, multiple browsers open or for any of the other reasons HP states as a reason. I have done all they recommend but it still gets hot. I find this annoying and worry about the long term effects this will have.

Great!
I bought this for my teenaged son for his bday. (He wanted a Chromebook.) This one is very lightweight, easy to use, the resolution is nice and works well for video calling. I have one as well and have dropped it twice so it’s tough and doesn’t break easily. They are fast to load things, even when you first turn it on. The sound isn’t the loudest on all the chrome books I’ve had, but are fine for movies and games, even better with headphones or speakers and has good, clear sound. This is a great price for what you get, especially because it includes all the accessories. I’ve never had a laptop come with those things, so I was very happy with that. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Very happy with this purchase!

Great Computer
This is my second Acer Chromebook, this is by far faster and easier to use. I booted it up signed in and everything was just as my old one was. The charging port on my old one died and I received this as a gift. Very pleased at the clarity of the screen and the keyboard is very soft & the pad is sensitive which is great. It came with extras that was a nice surprise! Great value for the money!!

I have always used Acer Chromebooks, my personal preference! This one is amazing.More of everything. I got a lot of accessories with mine. Did buy a screen protector.Just got set up with my new internet.Really enjoying it.If on the fence , just get it, you won’t be sorry!

Laptop only
The laptop itself is great and works as youd expect it to. All the accessories are literal garbage, super cheap. The multiport hub ate my sd card… the read you pop it into came dislodged upon the first use and the sd card is now rattling around inside of it.The mouse scroll wheel collapsed inward and is unusable now as the buttons wont click after one use.

small -portable faat-light weight-great battery life -scren resolution more than adequate for a laptop and fore someone not only on the go but for most people who do not play memory intensive video games this would be more that adequate.I cannot beleive that this chromebook comes with all the attachments -a multipple outlet dongle which includes 2xUSB 3 .HDMI cable and adapter -built in camera with good resoltion and a mic. The audio quality is also superb-Even comes with a microSD card 128 GB unbeleivable buy for the price. Will buy one for mom for mothers day

Slow and laggy
Firstly, it’s not a 2024, it’s a spin 311 with a 2023 manufacture date. Secondly, the responses and lag on this machine is pretty bad. I’m only doing basic functions like watching YouTube and Netflix and it’s pretty frustrating waiting for this thing to respond (or not….) to my touches.

Great chromebook for school
Purchased for grandson and he is very happy with it. The chromebook is very light, the colors are great, screen is tough, and the keyboard works well, almost forgot the touch screen is a big plus. The battery life is above average, and the chromebook loads pages at a nice pace.

the 6 port media hub i received with the computer is defective as soon as you plug it in the screen goes blank but the sound will still come through and you only get the picture back if you unplug the media hub.

Serving its purpose
I bought this because I was tired of trying to lug my larger laptop around the house. Wanted something very light, portable and with long battery life that I could also use Google Docs and Sheets with easily instead of a tablet. It has been perfect for this. The price was right. Sometimes, I regret not getting something with a wider screen, but its all workable.
